Check the claims.
Read every metric, credential, tool, and responsibility. Flag anything added by the draft rather than supplied by you. Verify it or remove it.
Check the level of ownership.
Words such as led, directed, and owned imply responsibility. If you supported the work or contributed to a team effort, say so accurately.
Check for interchangeable language.
Broad descriptions of excellence, innovation, and strategy often take up space without explaining the work. Replace them with the action, context, and contribution.
Check the repetition.
If several roles say essentially the same thing, identify what was distinctive about each one: scope, operating environment, problems solved, or progression in responsibility.
Check your ability to explain it.
Imagine being asked about each bullet in an interview. If you cannot give a straightforward account of the work and the result, the statement needs more attention.
